The Lonaconing silk mill, located in Lonaconing, Maryland, is the last intact silk mills in the United States. Formerly operated by the Klotz Throwing Company and General Textile Mills Company, the complex is situated within the National Lonaconing Historic District.

The mill was closed on June 23, 1957 after a labor dispute and a strike.

We managed to get this shoot done the morning after a huge ice storm, it added to the imagery. 

Looking online for a bit of background into Contract Plating Company, it turns up that there are some shady bits of business going on. 

As you will se in these pictures, there is a mulching company operating on this Toxic Site, i pity any unsuspecting person getting mulch for their garden.
